Like other aspects of life, some things get less attention and attended to than others due to ever changing priorities or unexpected events in ones life. Well, this website and journal has been one of those things that has slipped like last weeks leftovers often do…all the way back to the back refrigerator shelf and forgotten until something brings attention to them.
I missed getting to the task of putting up the images from AirVenture (Oshkosh) 2024 and here it is just days away from the beginning of OSH25. Sadly this past year I didn’t take nearly as many images as I normally have. What I did take and share was on my other social media venues.
But today, seeing the neighbors looking up into a tree in their yard caught my interest, and as it turns out a Eastern Screech Owl family was hanging out in a shade tree on a very warm, no make that hot day. They were cooperative and patiently posed for a few snapshots. Compared to Great Horned Owls, these are tiny lil’ things but as effective hunters.
