Starting at dusk, the fields are visited by various types of crop dusting aircraft such as the one pictured. Its hard enough to do this in the day time but these intrepid pilots do it as the sun sets and into the dark of the night. Why? Because it is the best time of the day, the temperatures are dropping and more importantly the winds diminish or disappear completely allowing a more accurate application without over spray.
