This year due to the concerns with the Coronavirus Covid19, airshows across the country were cancelled including the one at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. An airshow that I was looking forward to during our short stay in Yuma, just as we did last year. But the decision was made to protect the greater good and the show was cancelled. This however left the military demo teams the opportunity to still get in some practice while the airfield was under a Terminal Flight Restriction (TFR). Combined with their practice sessions and the regular mission tempo, I was able to get some great action shots as well as some other aviation images.
As with any airshow, even this one I was able to meet new friends and fellow photographers. While it was disappointing that the airshow was cancelled, everyone there shooting beside and around me made the best from what was available.
